Only 8 days left.

This entire year has been stressful. I was stressed first semester because of college apps and the uncertainty of admissions. I was stressed second semester because I had 65 ZEROS in AP French and had a 2.8 weighted GPA. But now, I am just done. I am ready to move onto the next chapter in life. I am just ready to leave. I've known most of these people for at least 10 years and to by honest, I'm tired of seeing their face. It's become too common. It's now time to meet new faces, experience new activities, and face new challenges. It's time to embark on the next journey-- alone.

  1. You have many valid points, faces are getting old and its about that time we move onto our next journey. Everything does seem like a repetitive action, I want a change, and im hoping thats college! :)

  2. Aah, it seems senioritis has set in even for the brightest minds.
True, everyone wants a change and new challenges and obstacles, but just make sure you remember those who care for you. At the end of the day, and even looking forward to when each of us is lying on our deathbed, the ones who love and care for us will be there. They will be the only thing that matters. Embark on your new adventures, but keep your ties close for you don't want to loose those who love you.

  4. Heheh, that reminds me of my 30% in Latin, first semester. If I know you well enough, you'll bring it up. At least, you have the capability to.

And I'm also excited to go to college! You'll probably still see a handful of people over at your college, but I see absolutely no one. It's a bit scary but exciting!

  5. So I kind of love this post, because I do not think you could have summed up my own feelings any better. I am so done, and my feelings of relief definitely outweigh those of nostalgia. I'm not going to just forget everyone, I will make a point of seeing the people that I still want to see, but other than that I am so ready to try new things and to meet a whole new pool of people. Four years was enough I am ready to move on.

  6. Thats kind of intense. I understand that you want to move on and so do I , but I know that I am going to miss a lot of people. Even though we have the opportunity to move on, there are certain people in our lives that we're going to see for the last time and miss.

  7. Like Jehan says, it is indeed kind of intense, but at the same time, it is so true. So many of these faces have become monotonous and almost annoying to see. I totally agree that this upcoming journey is one we should face alone. This post seems to be the plight of so many of the seniors this year. Thank you Chanel for beasting this post.

  8. I like how you always almost seem proud of your 65 zeroes whenever you brought it up through the year hahah. But I have to admit, that is pretty amazing. Of course moving on with our lives is just a natural thing, but don't forget that these annoying faces are the ones you grew up with and contributed to who you are today. College will come, and it'll have its part in our lives. But since we have 8 days left, might as well savor it with the people you most likely will never see again.

  9. Oh so true. New experiences in your life will expand your mindset and outlook on your thought of the world. I've been around because my family likes to travel and I've already seen a change in me that seems to not relate to anyone who's been confined in their habitat. I like change as well and even though i'm going to miss my best friends and family, i'll be happy to move on.

  10. I know exactly what you mean! I am tired of the same old people and same old schedule. I am so excited to move out and go to college. We are about to embark on the journey and pave our own way in life.

  11. Well I find it kind of harsh that you don't like to see my face any more since we've seen each other almost every day since second grade...just kidding Chanel. I know exactly how you feel and I completely agree! I feel as if I have done everything possible and taken advantage of every opportunity high school presented me. But now high school has ran out of new adventures and challenges, and I am ready to embark on the next stage of life in college. I guess feeling this way means I made the most out of my time in high school, I learned lots, and I grew and matured. I am ready to say goodbye to one stage of life and hello to the next.

  12. I agree completely with everything you said. This year was by far the most stressful and busy for me too. I thought things would improve after first semester but they only seemed to get worse. I need this last week to just be done with so I can begin my new life with a fresh start.

  13. I agree that its time to move on and start a new life; a life of independency and adventure. But I also agree with Cam, we should always remember those who supported us through the years and those who have made an impact in our lives.
